MAY 08 - ALMOST BROKEN

MAY O8 - ALMOST BROKEN
Shortly after loosing my downtown apartment an my 2 jobs in May 08, I had found employment on the North shore of Vancouver. I had taken the chance one morning at looking at the newspaper add, and came across one that had caught my attention. I called the owner and we immediately connected by having a great conversation, as with all my previous employers. I was called in for an interview the very next day, met with the owner, who I had immediately taken a liking to, was offered the position (night shift), and accepted based on the fact that a night shift position would suit me better, small business, one employee to work with at night and no harassment. I had got to meet my new supervisor 2 nights later and we also connected very well, and at this point as stressed as I was still feeling, from all the harassment activity, I felt somewhat relaxed and more like my self again. The very first night my supervisor and I discussed my living arrangements, which came up during our break discussion. I had mentioned that it was going to be really difficult for me to travel from downtown everyday at 12 mid-nite to get here at one. Paul suggested that he had a room for rent in the home he was renting and if I was interested I could move in anytime. Taking my current budget into consideration and the fact that it was now halved or quartered, I accepted, as this was the only temporary solution I could come up with. More so I had really just wanted to get out off the downtown core area, and move to the outskirts where it was more serene and quiet. This is the home I am now currently living in.
